Laura Liebel is an ACA Certified L2 Instructor Trainer,
    in both Canoe and Kayak. In addition to teaching paddling,
    Laura is a PSIA Certified Level II Alpine Ski Instructor, Nordic
    Walking Leki Trained Instructor, and volunteer Tour Leader at
    Beaver Meadow Audubon Center.  With a keen eye for
    movement analysis, Laura is able to diagnosis individual paddle
    stroke components and provide participants with direct
    feedback to develop skills quickly and proficiently.  She has
held previous positions in management, corporate training and behavioral
management consulting.  Recognized as an expert in her field, Laura is a
contributing author to both Outdoor Adventures: Canoeing and Outdoor
Adventures: Kayaking.  A  graduate of Geneseo State University, Laura holds a BS
in Education.  

    Jeff Liebel is an ACA L2 Certified Instructor, in both Canoe
    and Kayak.  He is the Managing Partner of Counterpoint
    Consulting, a Buffalo based management consulting firm. Jeff
    also spent six years as the COO of a nationally branded
    outdoor and snow sport accessory manufacturing company.   
    He is a licensed New York State Guide and a member of the
    Board of Directors of the Northern Forest Canoe Trail (NFCT).
He served on the national board of the American Canoe Association including a
year as president and is currently the Chair of the Northern New York Division of
the ACA. Previously he chaired the Waterways Committee of the Niagara Frontier
Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club.   Jeff graduated from Gannon University
with a BS/BA in Marketing.

Together, Jeff and Laura have had the opportunity to personally impact paddling
through instruction and leadership in their local and the national water sports
community.

For over twenty years, the Liebel's have owned and operated Counterpoint
Consulting, an entrepreneurial management consulting firm specializing in market
development, change management, organizational assessment, succession
planning, behavioral analysis, management development and training.

In addition to traditional paddling instruction, Laura and Jeff take lessons and
experiences from the corporate world and blend them with paddling, which enables
them to use it as a means to promote personal growth, team building, and
communication skills.
